At the point of contact a short-circuit occurs creating a fault current. This error is recognized as a command and in an attempt to interpret this disinformation, the computer creates, together with the shockbot, random pictures on the display.
As the damage to the computer increases, there is a proportional rise of dysfunction to the controll signal. This overload of errors ends in a total collapse of the system.
Die Geschichte geht so: Frustriert, nach einer erfolglos durchprogrammierten Nacht, gingen Emanuel Andel und Christian Gützer mit Schraubenziehern auf das Innenleben ihrer Computer los. Die erzeugten Kurzschlüsse resultierten in “sehr schönen Bildern” auf dem Monitor. Das Interesse war geweckt, im nächsten Schritt kam die Musik mit ins Spiel: Die Kurzschlüsse wurden jetzt mit abisolierten Kabeln erzeugt, an denen ein Musikstück anlag. Sie schafften es auf diese Weise, die erzeugten Bilder im Beat wackeln und tanzen zu lassen - die audio-visuelle Live-Performance von 5VoltCore war geboren.
